Walter Edward Aked

1890 - 1972

Walter Aked was a structural engineer who also was born in Liverpool and moved to New Zealand in 1920. He worked for Atkins, Bacon & Mitchell for two years before joining the Wellington City Council as an engineer. He retired as Divisional Engineer in 1955.
